Livingston, CA (April 28, 2014) – After multiple crashes during the Santa Clara Supercross, Austin Politelli and the 51FIFTY Energy Drink Team are forced to pull out of the Las Vegas finale.

Austin suffered a wrist injury and has been advised by doctors to not race and begin treatment, a blow to the rider and the team. All parties involved want the #981 to be healthy for the future, and recognize a full recovery is the most important goal at this point.

“Not being able to ride is more painful than the injuries themselves,” mentioned Politelli. “My wrist has not healed and trying to put in a moto at race pace has only made it worse. 51FIFTY along with the rest of the sponsors have supported me all season long and I’m incredibly thankful for their contributions.”

The teams highlights include a wire to wire LCQ win at Anaheim 3 and a Heat Race victory in Houston. Additionally, Austin put the 51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha YZ250F into every night show this season with several top finishes in the highly competitive 250 West SX Main Events.

51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha especially thanks the incredible support from Yamaha Motor Corp, specifically Jim Perry, Mike Guerra and Nathan Winn along with our team sponsors who have backed our program every step of the way.

We appreciate all the support from the various media outlets and fans in our journey to become a top 250 team. The team built a solid foundation this year and is committed to building the program bigger and better in 2016.
