Corona, California (July 1, 2016) – The Lucas Oil Modified Series and Lucas Oil Inc. are pleased to welcome 51FIFTY Energy Drink as both a team and an event sponsor for the most competitive short-track auto racing series in the western United States.

The young energy drink company made its debut in the series June 11 at Madera Speedway, where Wes Miller drove the Miller Racing/Creevan Racing team’s 51FIFTY STR Chevrolet to an eighth-place finish and teammate Kyle Tellstrom won the Lucas Oil California Farmers 75.

Miller will carry the brand’s “Race for Autism” banner in the six races remaining on the Modified Series’ 2016 schedule and the company also will be the title sponsor of the season-ending 51FIFTY Energy Drink Race of Champions at The Bull Ring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway November 18-19.

“The Lucas Oil Modified Series has established itself as an exciting and highly-competitive racing series so this partnership makes perfect sense,” 51FIFTY Energy Drink Chief Executive Officer Carlos Vieira said.

“We are always looking to partner with entities that embody the 51FIFTY brand and we see enormous potential for both sides. In the end, the race fans are the true winners and we look forward to working with the series and putting out a great product at the track.”

Vieira created the 51FIFTY logo when the then 35-year-old launched his own racing career without any experience behind the wheel and was continually told he would fail. The company website explains that the logo was designed to represent anyone “crazy enough to chase his or her dream” no matter the obstacles and despite the naysayers.

The logo also became a vehicle to raise awareness of and funds for the treatment of autism. The “Race for Autism” campaign is the focal point of the Carlos Vieira Foundation, the non-profit Vieira established in 2010. To date the organization has raised more than $800,000 to assist families living with autism through numerous fundraisers and drink sales. Since the beginning, a percentage every can of 51FIFTY Energy Drink sold has gone toward the cause.

“We’re proud to welcome 51FIFTY Energy Drink to the Lucas Oil Modified Series and partner with them in the Race for Autism,” Modified Series promoter Greg Scheidecker said. “It’s a partnership with tremendous potential for both of us, as Carlos said, and we’re going to do all we can to make sure that potential is reached.

“We know that anything 51FIFTY does will be done in a first-class way and we look forward to working with them for years to come.”
