ARLINGTON, TX RACE REPORT (450SX)

unnamed (3).jpgFebruary 19, 2018 - Livingston, CA - In his first 450 start of the season, 51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha rider Kyle Chisholm finished 13th. This solid Top-15 result is a great way to kick off the new venture for the 51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha Team and Chisholm alike.

Arlington, Texas served as the first stop of the East Coast Supercross Series inside AT&T Stadium. Chisholm logged a Top-20 time in his first timed qualifier on the powerful Yamaha YZ450F. His practice times would have him set to line up in 450SX Heat 1.

The first 450 Heat Race had some Texas-sized action from the get go. Luckily for the #11, he was able to avoid much of the carnage and find himself safely inside a transfer position. With lap times to rival the leaders, Chisholm would cross the line in 6th.

Chisholm took to the line for the Main Event in his first 450SX start of the year. The #11 used his previous experience in the 450 class to get a good start and find a race pace for the 20 minutes + 1 lap. After dicing it up with the best Supercross racers in the world, Chisholm would take the 51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha YZ450F to 13th overall.

"It was an awesome day here in Texas and a great starting point for my 450 debut," said Chisholm. "We made quite a few changes through out the day which payed dividends in the night show. For my first start of the year I'm satisfied with a 6th in the Heat and 13th in the Main. I'm going to be working hard to improve my results and keep progressing on the East Coast."
